About The Position

The Nursing Team Leader has responsibilities for a functional area and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and unit-based goals. Assist in communication of division and unit vision and goals, develops a team of highly skilled staff, and ensures cost effective and efficient use of resources for optimum outcomes. The nursing team leader is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The nursing team leader functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The nursing team leader utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The nursing team leader serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The nursing team leader collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The nursing team leader is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Graduation from accredited school of nursing
  • Valid Ohio RN license
  • 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong organization skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving and decision making skills
