About The Position

An experienced Registered Nurse, who in addition to providing direct patient care as needed is accountable for facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, patient flow, staffing, resource utilization, and problem solving on a given shift. The Nursing Supervisor functions under the direction of the Sr. Director in collaboration with the Nurse Managers to create an environment conducive to maintaining established standards of practice. S/he functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of SMH in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. PER DIEM position for off shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification
  • Successful completion of orientation including electronic documentation competencies
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of Clinical Nursing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Nursing Leadership experience
  • Excellent quality of Nursing Care as part of a comprehensive care team
  • BSN preferred
  • Unit-specific competencies/certifications (i.e. NRP, PALS, specialty certifications).
