About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating patient assignments, and acting as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team. The supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in the state of West Virginia.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of [Specify number, e.g., 3-5] years of experience in nursing, with a significant portion in critical care or intermediate care.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff within the Intermediate Care Unit.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.

  • Act as a point of contact for patient and family concerns, providing support and resolution.
