Nursing Supervisor, Psych Registered Nurse
About The Position
Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art facility serving up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. As a joint venture with Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, the hospital seeks dedicated staff to provide innovative, evidence-based care focused on patients’ individual needs, comfort, and safety. The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who provides direct care, leadership, direction, and supervision for nursing care during their shift. The supervisor serves as the on-site administrator during off-hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and provides direction and supervision throughout the hospital. The role coordinates admissions, discharges, emergency-code responses, and the overall quality of patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Michigan required.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility is strongly preferred.
- Previous House Supervisor experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and lead, direct, and supervise nursing care during the assigned shift.
- Serve as the on-site administrator during off-hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide direction and supervision in all areas of the hospital.
- Coordinate patient admissions and discharges.
- Coordinate responses to emergency codes.
- Oversee the overall quality of patient care.
