About The Position

Birmingham Green, a person-centered care focus community located in Manassas, Virginia, has been providing high-quality and affordable care for 90 years. This role is part-time, three days per week.

Requirements

• Current unencumbered RN license
• CPR certification
• Five years experience in long-term care facility
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental and emotional needs of the elderly
• Knowledge of the laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments and recertification
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

Nice To Haves

• One year supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care
• Assures that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs
• Ensures that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff
• Person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff
