About The Position
The Medical Surgical Department at Texas Health Plano is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN) for their 4B unit. This is a full-time position working days (7a-7p) with weekend and holiday requirements. The unit is a 22-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:5 RN to patient ratio and 1 PCT for every 10-11 patients. Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree Nursing
- 5 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program Upon Hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- 3 Years Emergency and/or critical care nursing
