About The Position

This position supports the Northeast Region by offering clinical consultation, reviewing medical incidents, and strengthening health practices within intellectual disability programs. As a Nursing Services Consultant, you will perform the following duties: Clinical Consultation: Provide guidance to county and provider staff regarding health care regulations and policies Policy Development: Assist in creating regulations, bulletins, policies, and procedures related to health care Health Liaison: Serve as the point of communication between regional and central offices on health-related matters Incident Review: Review, process, and close medical incidents and ensure follow-up on treatment and documentation requirements Mortality Oversight: Examine death-related documentation, coordinate necessary actions, and complete mortality reviews in the incident system Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) Coordination: Review assessments, maintain regional OBRA records, and support transitions from nursing homes to the community

Requirements

  • Two years of professional nursing experience
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
