About The Position

Anchor Home is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Nursing Quality & Compliance Intern to support quality assurance, compliance, and operational projects throughout the fall semester. This internship is ideal for a nursing student interested in healthcare administration, quality improvement, and clinical documentation. The intern will gain hands-on experience with electronic health records, compliance monitoring, staff training initiatives, and projects that support high-quality services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Nursing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems, technologies, and industries quickly

Responsibilities

• Review documentation in the electronic health records (EHR) system to help ensure records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
• Identify documentation issues and assist with communicating needed corrections to managers and staff.
• Support the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process by gathering, organizing, and tracking required documentation.
• Help monitor documentation deadlines and ensure records remain current and up to date.
• Maintain tracking logs and assist with preparing reports related to quality assurance and compliance.
• Assist with tracking employee training requirements and monitoring completion of required trainings.
• Help coordinate training schedules, maintain training records, and follow up with staff regarding outstanding requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance projects as assigned.
• Assist with other administrative and operational projects as needed.
