This role is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating educational programs for nursing and inter-professional teams within the Wake Forest Baptist Health System. The specialist will serve as a resource and liaison for clinical environments, schools, and community activities, providing consultation to leadership for program development. Key responsibilities include developing educational programs, training for new products, and competency assessments. The role also involves conducting regulatory compliance reviews, revising policies, and managing clinical content for the Learning Management System. Ensuring quality education through continuous learning and collaboration with unit-based educators and managers is essential. The specialist will also lead or serve on project teams, support the Professional Practice Model and Evidence-Based Practices, and practice in compliance with professional standards. Additionally, the role involves supporting age-specific patient care, conducting program evaluations, maintaining a positive work environment, and collaborating with various departments to ensure quality patient outcomes and compliance with regulatory requirements. The specialist will also be involved in developing nursing process and theory for electronic medical record documentation, planning and evaluating educational programs for perioperative nursing, providing quality oversight in the OR, and directing RN training and preceptor programs.
