This part-time position supports the orientation process by developing, coordinating, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel. It also assists with competency management, designs educational activities to address practice gaps, and utilizes best practice standards including adult learning principles. The role provides strategies to facilitate lifelong learning, collaborates with leadership to meet education needs, and adjusts materials and teaching strategies based on learner needs. The Generalist evaluates and analyzes the impact of programming and establishes appropriate evaluation tools to identify knowledge, skills, and competency gaps. They develop and support education needs based on specialty or department in collaboration with regional and system teams. The role requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care and understand the principles of growth and development over the life span.
