About The Position

Supports the Perioperative service line. Serves as the primary resource for planning, coordinating, and facilitating professional nursing and clinical staff education throughout the Parkview Health System. Plans, coordinates, and facilitates education initiatives in support of Parkview Health’s mission, vision, and strategies, applying adult learning principles to program development and presentation. Acts as a role model and advocate for performance improvement in collaboration with coworkers across Parkview Health.

Requirements

• Perioperative experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Accepted accrediting agencies are CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA.
• Valid Registered Nurse license for the state where services will be provided.
• Nursing Professional Development or equivalent certification within three years.
• At least five years of direct patient care experience, preferably in the position’s specialty area.
• Prior experience in an education role, such as patient education, staff education, community education, or academic education.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Prep/Recovery/PACU or Operating Room-specific experience preferred.
• Certification in another clinical specialty area is encouraged.
