About The Position

Serves as primary resource for planning, coordinating and facilitating nursing professional development (NPD) and clinical education throughout Parkview Health. Uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of NPD to improve the practice of coworkers. The NPD Practitioner is accountable for NPD practitioner competencies. This position will support the Perioperative service line.

Requirements

  • BSN from accredited program (Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA))
  • Valid Registered Nurse License required for the State where services will be provided
  • Minimum of three years' experience in direct patient care
  • Demonstrates ability to establish and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Minimum proficiency with technology ie. Microsoft Office suite

Nice To Haves

  • MSN or Master's degree
  • Prep/Recovery/PACU or Operating Room specific experience
  • Nursing Professional Development or equivalent certification within 3 years
  • Certification in other clinical specialty area
  • Advanced neonatal and obstetrical experience (for NICU and Obstetrics educators)
