About The Position

This position is for a Nursing Post Doctoral Fellowship focused on research within a specified field. The fellow will receive advanced training from a Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence. The specific area of research will be determined by the department and laboratory. The fellowship involves designing and evaluating experiments, developing new ideas, preparing and publishing scientific manuscripts, and potentially operating specific equipment and teaching techniques to others. Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee, with an initial one-year appointment and renewal expected based on satisfactory progress and funding availability. Appointments cannot exceed five years.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS, etc.) in an appropriate field.
• Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
• A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Nursing completed within the last 3 years
• Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.

Responsibilities
