About The Position

The Nursing Services Manager is responsible for the Wellness Coordination program and for supervising and managing nursing operations in a select area. The position develops and monitors medical policies and procedures to ensure they meet licensing requirements, and ensures each individual receives quality, individualized healthcare management to support optimal health. The role supervises, supports, and develops nursing staff; oversees assessments, wellness plans, face-to-face visits, and documentation; monitors healthcare needs and clinical services across assigned programs; and consults with program leaders, nurses, and other team members on medical concerns, healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements. The manager also helps develop healthcare systems and nursing supports for new individuals and programs, and ensures services and documentation meet organizational standards and person-centered care expectations. The position is onsite in Indianapolis, with approximately 50% travel throughout the Lafayette and Kokomo areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM EST, with on-call responsibilities as needed to support operational needs and program coverage.

Requirements

Current, unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse license.
At least 1 year of experience leading, supervising, coaching, or developing nursing or healthcare staff.
Strong ability to communicate clinical information clearly and maintain accurate healthcare documentation.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between programs as needed.
Successful completion of required background and compliance checks.

Nice To Haves

Experience in ICF/IID, Medicaid waiver, group home, supported living, or community-based residential services.
Experience supervising nurses, LPNs, or other healthcare staff.
Experience educating clinical and non-clinical staff on health-related needs, medication administration, and care procedures.
Knowledge of assessments, care plans, medication management, MARs, and physician orders.
Experience with electronic health records, audits, regulatory documentation, and quality improvement.
Experience partnering with physicians, guardians, pharmacies, case managers, and program leadership.
Experience providing clinical guidance during evenings, weekends, or urgent situations.

Responsibilities

Supervise, support, and develop nursing staff while promoting accountability, consistency, and high-quality care.
Ensure required assessments, wellness plans, face-to-face visits, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Monitor healthcare needs, clinical services, and care delivery for individuals supported across assigned programs.
Consult with Area Directors, Program Directors, nurses, and other team members on medical concerns, healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements.
Help develop healthcare systems and nursing supports for new individuals and new programs.
Ensure nursing services and documentation meet licensing requirements, organizational standards, and person-centered care expectations.
Develop and monitor medical policies and procedures to ensure they meet licensing requirements.
Provide on-call support as needed for operational needs and program coverage.
