About The Position
The Nursing Manager - L&D at Westover Hills Baptist Hospital assists the departmental leader in managing and directing care activities, providing direct professional care to patients across all age groups (newborn to geriatric) according to established standards. This role involves supporting the Baptist Health System's mission, policies, and procedures, and collaborating with patients, families, staff, and volunteers. The manager acts as the on-site departmental manager for daily operations and must complete required competencies. The hospital is seeking an innovative and experienced healthcare leader to drive excellence, inspire the team, and achieve exceptional patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Assists the departmental leader in managing and directing activities for the provision of care
- Provides direct professional care to patients in his/her assigned area of responsibility ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, following established standards and practices
- Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System
- Works collaboratively with patients’ families, visitors, nursing personnel, physicians, staff of other departments, and members of the volunteer services
- Serves as the departmental on site manager for daily operations
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
- Other related duties as assigned
