About The Position

Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital is seeking a Nursing Manager for their Emergency Department in Round Rock, TX. This full-time day shift position involves leading specialty nursing operations to ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety, and efficient clinical workflows. The role requires coordinating care delivery with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes, strengthen care coordination, and maintain exceptional patient experiences. The manager will ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and clinical standards, while supporting quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence. Responsibilities include assessing and resolving barriers impacting direct patient care, developing and monitoring policies and procedures to enhance clinical performance, and supporting and developing nursing staff through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 plus years of RN experience in an ED setting strongly preferred
  • 1 plus year of nursing leadership, charge nurse, supervisor, or management experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead specialty nursing operations to ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety, and efficient clinical workflows across assigned service lines.
  • Coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes, strengthen care coordination, and maintain exceptional patient experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and clinical standards while supporting quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Assess and resolve barriers impacting direct patient care, ensuring timely interventions and consistent delivery of safe, effective healthcare services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and quality metrics that enhance clinical performance, patient care outcomes, and service quality.
  • Support and develop nursing staff through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management while fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
