Nursing Instructor (part-time)
About The Position
Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) is seeking a part-time Nursing Instructor to join its accredited Associate Degree Nursing Program. The program prepares students for direct patient care as beginning practitioners in various healthcare settings. BRCC's nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing (VABON), consistently exceeding NCLEX pass rate benchmarks. The instructor will focus on client care across the lifespan in various settings, utilizing a concept-based curriculum. Instruction may include didactic, clinical, lab, or simulation components. Candidates will be required to facilitate a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process. This is a part-time wage position, limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no benefits.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current RN license in Virginia.
- Minimum of two years of experience in nursing practice.
- Experience in nursing education is preferred.

- Experience in clinical, lab, or simulation instruction.
- Experience with accreditation processes (ACEN, VABON).
