About The Position

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with an MSN or higher to provide nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. Depending on program and campus needs, instruction may take place in classrooms, laboratories, simulation settings, and clinical environments, including long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care sites. The instructor creates a supportive learning environment, teaches material appropriate to students’ educational levels, supervises students in clinical settings, and evaluates their learning, performance, and competency. The position also includes maintaining student records, providing guidance and feedback, staying current in nursing practice, participating in faculty and campus activities, and collaborating with the academic community. The listed class is Geriatric Theory, scheduled Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., starting in November 2026. Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree.
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
At least 3 years of recent professional Registered Nurse experience.
Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.
Strong commitment to nursing education and student success.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, clinical partners, and colleagues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to provide clear, effective instruction and constructive feedback.
Ability to supervise and evaluate students in a clinical environment.
Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of current nursing practice.

Nice To Haves

Prior nursing education or teaching experience.
Experience teaching LPN/PN and/or RN students in a classroom, laboratory, simulation, or clinical setting.
Experience precepting, mentoring, or orienting nurses or nursing students.
Experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education.
Experience using learning management systems and other educational technology.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and professional development.
Deliver effective instruction appropriate to students’ educational levels and needs.
Supervise students in clinical environments and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
Use appropriate evaluation methods to measure student learning, progress, and competency.
Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
Provide students with guidance, feedback, and support to promote successful learning outcomes.
Maintain current knowledge and expertise in the nursing specialty and clinical practice environment.
Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and other required academic or campus meetings.
Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education, in-service training, and academic coursework as appropriate.
Collaborate with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Program Dean, or Campus Administration.
