About The Position

The University of Arkansas Rich Mountain is seeking a part-time Nursing Instructor to join their Allied Health Division. This position involves supervising and engaging students in clinical and skills lab settings, providing hands-on instruction, and completing necessary records and evaluations. The instructor will adhere to institutional policies and may be assigned other duties by the Program Chair. The university is a two-year public community college with campuses in Mena, Waldron, and Mount Ida, committed to transformative education with a low student-to-faculty ratio.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid unencipbered Arkansas Registered Nurse license
  • Hold a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Must have two years of clinical nursing experience
  • Must be able to travel to all clinical sites/home campus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in the clinical &/or skills lab/simulation setting
  • Engage students in learning activities in the clinical setting
  • Provide hands-on instruction as needed
  • Complete clinical records and reports, such as absences, and grade records in a timely manner
  • Evaluate student performance by grading clinical work and observing demonstrated skills in a timely manner
  • Assist in the evaluation process of overall student performance
  • Adhere to the individual ARNEC member institutional policies where the clinical faculty member is employed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Chair
