About The Position

James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month, full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant professor beginning January 10, 2027. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. This position will primarily support the Fast Flex BSN, a new initiative designed to operate during evenings and weekends, with a primarily precepted clinical model. The School of Nursing enjoys many opportunities for interprofessional and community partnerships. Requirements

• A minimum of a graduate degree in nursing at the time of hire and a doctoral degree conferral by December 2026, is required.
• An active RN license and eligibility for Virginia nursing licensure are required.
• Virginia RN licensure must be obtained by January 19, 2027.
• At least three years of recent clinical experience in adult health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, scholarship, and professional, community, and/or university service.
• In-person teaching in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for the Fast Flex BSN during evening and weekend hours.
