About The Position
The Nursing Director, Long-Term Care, WAR Memorial Hospital (WAR) assists with the development of goals, standards of performance, and policies and procedures for the Long-Term unit. The Nursing Director establishes objectives for the Long-Term Care Unit, and the organizational structure for achieving these objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelors Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Graduate of a school of nursing is required.
- Five (5) or more years management experience is required.
- Five (5) or more years nursing home/long-term care setting is required.
- Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia is required.
- Basic CPR-certified and up-to-date annually is required.
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required.
- New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
