About The Position

The Director Nursing Outpatient Clinic will be responsible to provide operational and strategic leadership for the El Paso Children's Services. Plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities. Responsible to assure the highest level of service for guests and staff, to proactively support the efforts that will ensure delivery of safe patient care, services and to promote a safe environment at EPCH.

Requirements

• Three years clinical nursing leadership experience in pediatrics or related nursing field.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Conceptualize and articulate a vision for nursing practice for assigned clinical areas and translates into action.
• Ability to foster and facilitate collaborative interpersonal relationships.
• Calculates risks employed with an anticipated action.
• Ability to facilitate transitions through sound process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
• Willingness to embrace change and manage it effectively.
• Ability to foster and implement team-building strategies.
• Skill in the use of computer systems and related software applications.
• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing Executive Leadership Certification within three years of being in position, unless attending classes to obtain a higher degree in Nursing.
