About The Position

Farr 11 is a dynamic, 30-bed adult acute care General Medicine unit, including 26 telemetry beds. The team provides care to a medically complex patient population with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, failure to thrive, and eating disorders. Patients frequently present with multiple comorbidities as well as complex social and behavioral health needs. This highly collaborative environment offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to drive clinical excellence, operational performance, staff engagement, and patient outcomes within one of the organization's core inpatient service lines. The Nurse Director provides strategic, operational, clinical, and financial leadership for Farr 11. This role is accountable for fostering a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and professional practice while ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care. The Nurse Director partners closely with nursing leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to advance departmental and organizational priorities. This leader serves as a visible presence on the unit, mentors emerging leaders, drives performance improvement initiatives, and supports workforce development and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • License Registered Nurse required.
  • Certificate Basic Life Support required.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required.
  • 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Finance or Hospital Administration preferred.
  • 1-3 years supervisory/management experience.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to support organizational priorities and operational excellence.
