About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Nursing Director to lead Emergency Department nursing operations and help drive exceptional patient care, team development, quality, and operational performance. This is an opportunity to take a high-impact nursing leadership role, develop strong teams, improve emergency care delivery, and contribute to organization-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree required in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- One of the degrees must be in Nursing
- Current Michigan RN License
- 5+ years of clinical and/or progressive nursing management experience
Nice To Haves
- Specialty nursing certification preferred; certification required within one year of hire
Responsibilities
- Lead daily nursing operations, staffing, and resource management
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain nursing staff
- Drive patient safety, quality, and patient satisfaction
- Develop and manage department budgets and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission/JCAHO, regulatory, and licensing standards
- Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary leaders to improve patient care
- Support strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives
- Promote professional growth and a culture of excellence
