The Nursing Department Coordinator is responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care. Supports the development and implementation of nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures, and provides direct nursing services as needed. Assists with recruitment and staffing recommendations, oversees nursing schedules and on-call coverage, and ensures accurate and timely medical record documentation. Contributes to medication management controls and infection prevention efforts, including identifying risks and recommending corrective actions. Provides crisis intervention support, facilitates departmental meetings, participates in leadership and program meetings, and serves in the leadership on-call rotation. The facility is a 24/7 inpatient voluntary program with a 16-bed capacity, serving adults aged 18-59 with rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation. The average length of stay is 30 days, and clinical services include pre-vocational or vocational counseling and medication evaluation and support services.
