About The Position
Rose Arbor, a Sonida Senior Living community in Maple Grove, Minnesota, provides care to residents in an assisted living and memory care community. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs resident-care duties in accordance with accepted standards, including helping residents with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication reminders. The position pays $22 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour for trained and active medication aides. Weekend availability is required; alternating weekends are available on AM or PM shifts, with additional weekday shifts available.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in Minnesota as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
- Experience in a similar or the same role in a long-term care community, assisted living, or an equivalent skilled nursing setting.
- Experience passing and handling medications and treatments in a long-term care community, assisted living, or an equivalent skilled nursing setting.
- Availability every weekend is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Trained and active medication aide qualification earns an additional $1 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, and bathing.
- Escort and transfer residents.
- Assist residents with nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, ensuring proper fluid requirements, and offering substitutions when appropriate.
- Remind residents to take medication and open containers and packages for them.
- Recognize changes in residents' behavior and conditions and report them to the Assisted Living Director.
