About The Position
The Nursing Clinical Internship (NCI) at Avera Heart Hospital is a 10-week, full-time, paid internship during the summer. The NCI program will provide you the experience to expand your clinical skills while working in partnership with a designated Registered Nurse preceptor. The NCI program provides students with the ability to learn directly from health care workers. As a nationally recognized leader in heart and vascular care, we’ll give you real-world experience and a glimpse into an exciting healthcare career.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited RN program (Associate or Bachelor degree).
- Must have participated in an academic clinical experience.
- Must be within 1 or 2 semesters of graduation date (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028) at the time of the internship.
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Expand clinical skills while working in partnership with a designated Registered Nurse preceptor.
- Learn directly from health care workers.
