About The Position

Hennepin Technical College seeks a Temporary Part Time Nursing, Clinical AD instructor dedicated to excellence in career and technical education who desires to become part of an environment that values trust, integrity, pride, passion, respect, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and diversity. The courses are held on site at Community Partner locations located in the western metro areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in nursing
  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from minoritized, historically marginalized, and/or culturally diverse groups.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lecture and lab courses in Nursing, Clinical AD
  • Continuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes
  • Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning
  • Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, available office hours, and by providing additional resources
  • Development and implementation of on-campus, online and hybrid courses
  • Contribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection etc.
  • Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development
  • Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects
