About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian is hiring a Nursing Attendant for its 5N Med Surg/Telemetry/Vent unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens. The position provides compassionate, patient-focused care and select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Nursing Attendants partner with nurses, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team and serve as important points of contact for patients and families. They help improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. This is a full-time evening position, scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Upon hire, the employee must complete a mandatory two-week orientation, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The listed hourly salary range is $26.24–$27.91.

Requirements

Previous nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program; or current enrollment in a BSN nursing program at the junior-year level or completion of at least one clinical practicum.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to complete mandatory two-week orientation, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, upon hire.

Responsibilities
