Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required, or minimum of three (3) years' experience required
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the New York Department of Health - Nurse Aide Registry obtained within ninety (90) days of hire.
  • Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
  • Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
  • Assures resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.

  • Additional compensation based on shifts worked (Weekday evening shift - additional 10%, Weekday night shift - an additional 15%, Weekend day shift – an additional 10%, Weekend evening & night shifts – an additional 21%)
