About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care to patients. This is a full-time position in Evansville, Indiana, working 12-hour day shifts. Compensation is $17.23–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Shift differentials are available for night and weekend shifts. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
