Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Day Shift
About The Position
The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is seeking full-time Certified Nursing Assistants to join its nursing department at a Joint Commission-accredited short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and skilled nursing community in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The position is scheduled for the 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. shift. The base pay range is $22.00–$25.50 per hour, based on experience, with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered to full-time hires under a written agreement. Certified Nursing Assistants provide resident care according to care plans, support activities of daily living and resident independence, follow applicable safety and infection-control policies, and participate in required continuing education. Weekend rotation is required for direct-care staff.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Availability for the required weekend rotation for direct-care staff.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of languages other than English is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to residents as directed and according to the plan of care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide necessary care for residents who are dependent.
- Use nursing assistant techniques that promote resident independence, including walking, transfer assistance, range of motion, eating, bathing, dressing, and bed mobility.
- Apply knowledge of infection control and fire and disaster policies as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and meet annual in-service participation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
