About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized care to patients undergoing rehabilitation and to assist registered nurses in supporting patients through their recovery. The role involves helping patients with daily personal activities, preparing and transporting patients, communicating concerns to nurses, and building supportive relationships with patients and their families. Nursing Assistants contribute to patients’ rehabilitation goals and celebrate their progress as part of a collaborative care team.

Requirements

• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to facilitate recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient victories and milestones.
