About The Position

Requirements

• Hold CNA certification or be willing and able to obtain certification.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support to help residents with daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
