About The Position

Seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Neuro Intermediate Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This part-time position involves 12 hours weekly on dayshift (7am-7pm). The Nursing Assistant, under general supervision and according to established procedures, functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse. Responsibilities include providing delegated aspects of patient care and performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, offering excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3–4:1). The unit provides high-quality care to adult patients with common neuroscience cases including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, the unit is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required
• High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required
