Nursing Assistant - C2/6 Intermediate Care Unit, 60% Day/Evening
About The Position
Join our brand-new intermediate care unit opening in 2027 and help us deliver remarkable care through high standards of patient care and exceptional communication. We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our new Intermediate Unit. This state of the art 16-bed hospitalist intermediate care unit specializes in providing comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to adults presenting with a wide variety of medical diagnosis, complex comorbidities or hemodynamic instability requiring increased support. This is a unique opportunity for CNAs to be a part of creating and shaping a new space! Patient populations include those with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, or severe multi-organ dysfunction. Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the unit.
Requirements
- Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Trained Medication Aide (TMA) Upon Hire
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care facility
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
- Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.
