Requirements

• Clinically competent nursing staff for General Nursing Units (patients from age 15 years to maturity).
• Clinically competent nursing staff for Special Care Areas (patients from age 15 years through adult with high risk conditions).
• Staff clinically competent in maternity care for Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery.
• Clinically competent staff for Nursery care (newborn until discharge status).
• Pediatric clinically competent staff for patients from neonate through age of eighteen.
• Clinically competent staff for GI Lab Unit (toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult).
• Clinically competent nursing staff for Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems).
• Clinically competent staff in pediatric and high-risk adult care for Emergency Unit (patients of all ages).
• Staff providing care to patients from neonate to geriatric in Surgical Services.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.
