About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role is with CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Van Ness. The position is part-time, with evening shifts of 8 hours, variable days, and every other weekend required. Weekly hours are 32. The role is regular and non-exempt. Employees may handle hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs in accordance with NIOSH classifications and USP 800 guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hospital Assistant training or equivalent training as a nursing student.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital or nursing student experience.
- Communication, organization, and relationship skills.
