About The Position
PCAs serve as Nursing Assistants, providing direct patient care support on Medical/Surgical units at Saint Mary’s Hospital. The role includes helping with routine patient care, monitoring and recording vital signs and measurements, and providing ambulatory assistance, including help with walking, showers, and other prescribed therapies. This is a part-time position with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of Nursing Assistant experience in an acute inpatient setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, including monitoring vital signs and recording measurements in patient charts.
- Provide ambulatory support, including helping patients walk, shower, and participate in other prescribed therapies.
