Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution
- BLS required
- TEAM certification is required within one year
Nice To Haves
- Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) preferred, otherwise must obtain one within 4 months of hire, may be eligible to have this paid for by the hospital once you're hired
Responsibilities
- Must have knowledge of patient’s condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
- May assist patients with activities of daily living
- Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, evening and weekend activity, showers, etc.
- Collect patient specimens per protocol
- Perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, etc.
- Input computer data appropriately.
- Answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
