Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution
• Must obtain Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) within 4 months of hire if not current
• BLS required
• TEAM certification is required within one year (both are available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Nice To Haves

• Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) preferred

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of patient condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
• May assist patients with activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, evening and weekend activity, showers, etc.
• Collect patient specimens per protocol
• Perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, etc. Input computer data appropriately. Answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
