Nursing Assistant 2nd shift
About The Position
The Waterford at West Bend, a premier senior living community in West Bend, WI, is hiring a Nursing Assistant for their 2nd shift. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and make a difference in their daily lives. The position has a consistent schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and every other weekend, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The starting pay is $18.00/hour and up, with opportunities for higher starting wages based on experience, qualifications, and certifications. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in nursing, senior living, assisted living, memory care, home health, or a similar setting preferred
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to your scheduled shifts
- Compassionate and respectful approach to working with older adults
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in nursing, senior living, assisted living, memory care, home health, or a similar setting
- Relevant certifications
Responsibilities
- Providing compassionate assistance with activities of daily living while promoting resident independence and choice
- Assisting with medications, treatments, and other care as permitted by applicable regulations and training
- Escorting and assisting residents throughout the community and outside as needed
- Assisting with meal setup, service, and cleanup
- Supporting and participating in resident activities and programs
- Getting to know residents and building meaningful relationships with them and their families
- Observing and communicating changes in resident condition or needs to the appropriate team members
- Treating every resident with dignity, respect, compassion, and patience
