Nursing Assistant - Full Time - Westwood Ridge II TCU
About The Position
At Vivie, the Nursing Assistant provides hands-on support to residents, helping ensure their safety, comfort, and dignity. The role includes assistance with daily activities, monitoring for health changes, and providing companionship as part of the residents’ care team, while helping maintain a home-like environment. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position in the Nursing department, within the SNF division. The schedule is 62 hours per pay period, from 2:30 pm to 10:45 pm. The position has no travel requirements and no supervisory responsibilities. Leadership is provided by the Director of Clinical Care or Nursing.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Minnesota.
- Ability to provide care with empathy, patience, and integrity.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility according to each resident’s Plan of Care.
- Support residents’ daily well-being by offering meals, hydration, companionship, and encouragement for social engagement.
- Monitor and report changes in vital signs, skin conditions, and behavioral or physical condition, and communicate promptly with the nursing team.
- Help create a home-like atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure residents receive exceptional care and support.
