About The Position
Congregation of Holy Cross (US Province) in Notre Dame, IN, is seeking a dedicated and caring PRN Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate healthcare team at Holy Cross House. As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist our nurses and provide medical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual care to our beloved residents (priests). This role offers competitive pay with shift incentives. The first shift is from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the second shift is from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the third shift is from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. If you're ready to make a difference and help our nurses, this is a great healthcare opportunity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of related experience
- Ability to use common patient care equipment
- Professional appearance and a caring attitude
- Respectful of the religious beliefs of the congregation
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- CNA training
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Experience with psychosocial behavioral issues
Responsibilities
- Providing medical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual care to residents.
- Interacting with residents in a loving and caring manner.
- Assisting nurses with daily living activities.
- Performing necessary cleaning and disinfecting tasks.
- Documenting care activities.
- Ensuring residents are comfortable and well-cared for.
- Collaborating and reporting between shifts to ensure seamless communication of resident care.
