About The Position

Vital Medical Staffing is hiring dependable CNAs with FLEXIBLE, OPEN AVAILABILITY! Vital Medical Staffing is looking for reliable, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are available to pick up PRN and last-minute shifts when our facilities need coverage. This opportunity is ideal for CNAs who do not have a fixed full-time schedule, have flexibility during the week, and are comfortable accepting shifts with short notice. Our facilities sometimes need coverage due to last-minute call-outs or urgent staffing needs, so having open availability is extremely important. If you enjoy flexible work, can adapt to different facilities, and are someone our team can count on when coverage is needed, we'd love to hear from you! As a PRN CNA, you'll provide hands-on care and support to patients while following each facility's policies and procedures. Assignments may be available in hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics.

Requirements

Active and valid CNA certification
Flexible, open availability to pick up PRN shifts
Willing and able to accept last-minute or short-notice shifts when available
Current, valid TB test
Active CPR/BLS certification
CPR/BLS certification completed in person with an instructor - online-only courses are not accepted
Reliable transportation
Communicate clearly and respond promptly to staffing needs
Dependable, compassionate, and professional
Comfortable working in different healthcare environments

Responsibilities

Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Providing basic patient care and support
Monitoring patient needs and reporting changes to nursing staff
Maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment
Communicating professionally with facility staff and the Vital Medical Staffing team
Arriving on time and prepared for scheduled shifts
Stepping in to provide coverage when facilities have an immediate staffing need
