About The Position
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the A7 Stroke unit. Nursing Assistants are essential members of the care team, helping provide comfort and supporting clinical staff in delivering care to patients in the community. The role may involve basic patient care and services that address patients’ personal and comfort needs. Munson Medical Center provides comprehensive, paid orientation and training; prior experience is not required.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers at all times; child and infant maneuvers may be required by some departments.
- May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient care and services essential to patients’ personal and comfort needs.
- Complete personal hygiene care.
- Collect specimens.
- Assist patients with daily walking and exercise.
- Transport patients between departments.
- Observe, report, and record patients’ vital signs.
