About The Position
The Nursing Assistant assists in the safe care of patients on the 6 Tower unit as directed and helps maintain safe and efficient unit operations while providing excellent customer service. The role is permitted to change patients from portable oxygen to wall oxygen. This is a casual position requiring a minimum of 4 shifts/32 hours per 4-week schedule; hours vary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Healthcare Provider CPR.
- Act 33/73 clearances.
- Complete Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy.
- Safely access, transport, and handle single-dose prescription and non-prescription medications.
- Safely access, transport, and handle sharps, including needles, suture kits, lancets, and syringes.
- No minimum experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.
- Previous experience working as a nursing assistant in an acute care facility.
