About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus – Vic Village (Dennison Ave) is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care to patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. This is a full-time night position with 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The hourly pay is $18.05–$22.00, depending on years of experience, and the position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employees. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least three years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
