About The Position

Christ the King Manor is seeking compassionate, caring, and team-oriented Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to provide direct care to residents. The role involves hands-on care, encouragement, and companionship, and must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as direction from the Director of Nursing Services designee. Open shifts are 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–10 p.m., and 10 p.m.–6 a.m. The position is listed as full-time/part-time, and employees must be available to work every other weekend.

Requirements

Must possess a valid Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
Must complete at least 12 hours of in-service education annually.
Must be available to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Observe residents and promptly report changes in physical or emotional condition to the LPN/RN supervisor.
Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, catheter care, incontinence care, and skin care.
Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs.
Check assigned residents regularly, follow individual care plans, and respond promptly to call lights.
Provide safe transfers, transportation, positioning, repositioning, ambulation, and restorative care using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Assist with prescribed exercises, therapy programs, braces, and other restorative nursing needs.
Perform basic nursing duties such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens as directed.
Complete required documentation accurately, legibly, and on time.
Follow infection control, safety, body mechanics, and aseptic procedures.
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and protections under the Resident Bill of Rights.
Prepare residents for appointments, tests, X-rays, and therapy as assigned.
Maintain clean and safe resident areas and equipment; handle linens and clothing according to policy.
Maintain positive, respectful, and cooperative relationships with residents, families, and staff.
Attend required in-service training and comply with Christ the King Manor policies, procedures, and regulations.
