About The Position
Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Nursing Assistant assists with direct and indirect patient care for hospital patients on a general or specialized nursing care unit. The role performs a variety of non-professional nursing duties and requires awareness of the special needs of the age groups assigned to the unit. Other duties may be assigned. The stated hourly salary range is $26.45–$35.66, commensurate with experience. The range includes a night-shift differential. Eligible employees who work qualifying weekend shifts receive a competitive weekend rate.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- BLS.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to comprehend medical terminology.
- General office computer or hospital-related experience.
- Ability to operate office equipment such as a fax machine, copier, and multi-line phone.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital and/or long-term care facility.
